There were several things waiting for us back at the hotel:
Good, ol’ Firestone DBA.

Snacks.

And white wine.

Cheers!

And another Firestone DBA.

And before we knew it, the last day was upon us.
Here’s the toddler in the elevator checking out the breakfast area.

Presumably, showing off an excellent piece of homestyle potato there.

Need. More. Homestyle. Potatoes.

Before heading back home, we decided to check out Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa.

We then wanted to walk around some more in happy, downtown San Luis Obispo.
The toddler and I found a good spot to sit while wifey shopped.

The day before was a wet one, but this day was picture perfect.

While back on the road, we decided to stop by downtown Paso Robles to grab lunch.

At Odyssey World Cafe. Again.
Kid’s corkscrew pasta noodles. Again.

Grilled ahi tuna salad.

Pasta and tomato soup.

Another view of charming, quaint downtown Paso Robles.

We grabbed ice cream before hitting the road back home for good.

Throughout our mini-getaway, wifey and I were aware of how much we were enjoying ourselves and our time together. It couldn’t have gone any better. Thank you very much, wifey, for setting everything up.
Always Grateful,
~Andy

Fun! A nice family getaway day. I love low-key vacations like this.
By the way, those homestyle potatoes. Seriously oh my god. Looks amazing! Golden and crunchy like nuggets.
Homestyle potatoes! You make my Texas heart sing! For a twist, if you’re ever feeling adventerous, fry them up in coconut oil. NOM! If you’re feeling luxurious, drizzle on some duck fat. Double nom!!
Your miniway looks so fun! I love trips like that.
Oh oh! You and Two Boos Who Eat’s Andy are my alcohol experts. Are you at all familiar with any good ciders? I’m not much of a boozer but I’ve come to really like cider here. Teehee, hoping to find a good replacement when I get home.
