Moveable Feast – San Jose (SJ Eats)

Wifey, the toddler, and I ventured out to Moveable Feast San Jose (SJ Eats) this past Saturday.  Looking back, we probably should have stayed home, as we had just returned from a 3-day mini-trip to Lake Tahoe. But venture out we did.

We got there pretty close to the starting time. We were greeted by, and chatted a bit with, the busy Ryan Sebastian of Treatbot and the founder of Moveable Feast (SJ Eats). He let us know right off the bat that these food truck meet ups were going to occur weekly. Awesome!

The toddler just loves music and dancing, and being tired wasn’t going to stop his groovin’.

The main attractions:

Wow – Filipino Silogs.

Babaloo – Organic Cuban.

Little Green Cyclo – Vietnamese Street Food.

Cabana Dave’s – World Cuisine.

MoBowl – rice bowls.

An The Go – Garlic Noodles.

Senor Sisig – Filipino Fusion.

Treatbot – Karaoke Ice Cream.

Tikka Bytes – Indian.

Chairman Bao – Steamed and Baked Buns.

Bills Hot Dogs – Street Dogs.

Live, musical entertainment:

The main eating area:

We first got the rice vermicelli with tofu from Little Green Cyclo.

Went back to get something else:

The Babaloo sandwich (grilled veggies, black bean hummus, and mango avocado cream) from Babaloo.

Returned to our eating spot.

Some quick thoughts:

It’s been exciting seeing Moveable Feast evolve while helping to firmly establish the South Bay gourmet food truck scene. I appreciate the appearances of local artists and musicians at these gatherings. Continued city support and consistent attendance will enhance our community. As I’ve stated before, my thanks go to Ryan and his partners for starting it all and continuing to do what they’re doing with Moveable Feast. It really can be one of those multiple win-win-win-win situations.

For us, even though there were rocky patches primarily due to our tiredness, the positive vibes at the Moveable Feast helped out a lot.

Always Grateful,

~Andy
