Tied House Offers Free Meal to Veterans and Active Duty Military on Veterans Day
On Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, Tied House Brewery and Café in Mountain View will offer an entrée under $15, which covers the majority of the menu items, plus a non-alcoholic drink to any veteran or active duty military person.
Per their recent media release, it is Tied House’s way of thanking veterans for their service. Tied House general manager Sabio Vasquez says, “We are located down the street from Moffett Field, home to many Air Force and other military personnel. They are our neighbors, regulars, and friends. It’s the least we can do.”
The rest of the details include the following: “Active duty and veteran military members must show proof of service, i.e.: Uniformed Services ID, Uniformed Services Retired ID, veterans’ organization card (Veterans Affairs, etc.), be wearing their uniforms, or show a photo of themselves in uniform to participate. The offer will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, November 11th. Dine in or take out. One free meal per person. Gratuity not included.”
