The Next Neighborhood Stop for SJ Beerwalk: Willow Glen

The next San Jose Beerwalk takes place in downtown Willow Glen this Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a focus on seasonal/winter beers.

According to a recent press release, SJ Beerwalk co-founder Charlie Mann of Jack’s Bar & Lounge in San Jose lived and worked in Willow Glen for over 7 years and believes that Willow Glen has one of the best downtown areas in San Jose.

Co-Founder Jordan Trigg (Jack’s Bar, San Jose) explained that the main goal of SJ Beerwalk is to introduce South Bay residents to their local business districts, inviting them to check out shops they otherwise might never have set foot in.

Though the beer is an important focus at these events, the inspiration for SJ Beerwalk truly stemmed from “the desire to create a stronger connection between locals and their communities…”

Beerwalkers will walk along Lincoln Avenue (between Minnesota Ave. and Lester Ave.), making stops to taste beer at twenty-five local businesses, “from exclusive boutiques to unique restaurants.”

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $30 online at www.sjbeerwalk.com. In the case the event does not sell out, tickets can be purchased day of for $35. Registration begins at 1pm. Event runs from 2 to 6pm.
