Original Gravity Celebrates 2-Year Anniversary this Weekend

Downtown craft beer bar Original Gravity Public House has reached its two-year anniversary, and to commemorate the milestone a celebration of good beer will take place on July 19 starting at noon.

“The two-year mark is exciting and full of nostalgia,” says general manager and event coordinator Rob Monroe, who has been with Original Gravity since its grand opening. “We feel grateful and humbled to be here and thriving.”

There will be special kegs, bottle releases, food specials, limited edition anniversary T-shirts and music in the outdoor patio. Look for Santa Maria-style tri-tip sandwiches with caramelized “Firestone Walker DBA” onions to be offered on a limited first-come, first-served basis, along with house-made chipotle black bean chili.

The celebration also gives customers a first look at the just concluded—and much needed—interior expansion project announced last year, providing Original Gravity a second bar with 10 more taps, additional capacity for 50 indoor seats and a second restroom.

The bigger space will allow for a more robust beer events program, including beer pairing dinners, a beer speaker series, meet-the-brewers events and other educational beer events. There will also be a slightly updated food menu.
