O’Flaherty’s Hosts Barrel-Aged Beer Plus Sierra Nevada Tap Takeover Events
Silicon Valley Beer Week is nearly upon us, and O’Flaherty’s Irish Pub in downtown San Jose’s San Pedro Square (25 N. San Pedro Square) is looking to take full advantage of their 50+ taps, including hitting the record books.
The Big Woodie Barrel-Aged Beer event takes place from Sat., July 26 to Tues., June 29 and features an impressive lineup of 35 beers, just recently announced:

- Almanac – Farmers Reserve Pluot Aged in wine barrels

- Lost Abbey – Red Poppy Ale aged in oak barrels
- Goose Island – Bourbon County Barleywine
- Tap it – Cafe Noir aged in pinot noir barrels
- Deschutes – Mirror Mirror 2014 oak aged
- Lost Abbey – Agave Maria aged in tequila barrels
- Anderson Valley – Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout

From Wed., July 30 to Sat. Aug. 2, O’Flaherty’s hosts a Sierra Nevada tap takeover with 54 different beers on tap, likely setting the record for the biggest tap takeover event ever held locally.
Chiming in with a special message is O’Flaherty’s David Mulvehill:
“I’m really excited and looking forward to these events during Silicon Valley beer week. The lineups are impressive, and I invite everyone to come out, try a beer or two and have fun.”
