Santa Clara Valley Brewing to Close its Doors on Dec. 28

Santa Clara Valley Brewing (101 E. Alma Ave., San Jose) has confirmed that their last day of business will be this coming Saturday, Dec. 28.

In a Facebook post on Friday, they wrote:

Yes it’s true: SCVB is closing. But as we fade into San Jose history we’d like to thank all of our friends who have supported us these past seven years. It’s been an absolute pleasure sharing good times and great beers with you!

The taproom is open through December 28th so come on down and enjoy a few final pints with us. We’ve still got all your favorites on tap, plus great prices on beer to go.

In recent weeks, Santa Clara Valley Brewing has collaborated with a number of local San Jose breweries, including Strike Brewing Company, Clandestine Brewing, Camino Brewing Co. and Uproar Brewing Company.

Santa Clara Valley Brewing closes its doors on a high note, following triumphant showings at the prestigious Great American Beer Festival from both earlier this year for their Dry Creek Blonde Ale (bronze medal winner, German-Style Koelsch category) and last year as well for their Alviso Mills Hefeweizen (silver medal winner, German-Style Wheat Ale category).

Final Schedule

General manager Brian Moore (‘BMo’) let me know earlier today that the taproom will be open as much as possible to accommodate the increasing number of folks showing up for Santa Clara Valley Brewing’s final days.

The schedule for the final week:

  • Monday (12/23): 12 – 6pm
  • Tuesday (12/24): 12 – 4pm
  • Closed Wednesday (12/25) for Christmas
  • Thursday (12/26): 12 – 8pm
  • Friday (12/27): 12 – 9pm
  • Saturday (12/28): 12 – 8pm

There will be a free comedy show on Saturday, 12/28 from 8pm – 10pm.
