More folks throughout California will get to enjoy the offerings from San Jose’s Strike Brewing Co. as they have inked a deal with So Cal Beverage Distributors to distribute Strike beers in seven Southern California counties commencing Monday, June 24.

This distribution news comes fresh off the heels of an earlier development in March 2013 when Strike partnered with Safeway to have them carry Strike IPA and Strike Brown in their stores throughout Santa Clara County. DBI began distributing Strike brews throughout Santa Clara County last April 2012.

Having released their first beers back in December 2011, Strike continues to be on quite a run as 2013 is turning out to be quite the year for the South Bay’s Strike Brewing Co.

More from this Monday’s press release:

So Cal Distributors will be distributing both draught and bottled products, including Strike’s IPA, Blonde, Brown, and Imperial Red ales. The Imperial Red will be the first draught product available in Southern California. Jenny Lewis, Strike CEO, comments, “We are very excited to be entering the Southern California market. This is a huge opportunity for us to expand our market presence. There are a lot of exciting things on the horizon and our partnership with So Cal is just the beginning of a big year.”

So Cal Beverage distributes in the following counties: Santa Barbara, Venture, Orange, San Diego, San Bernardino, Kern/Bakersfield, Riverside, Imperial and Los Angeles. Lewis also said, “From the first conversations with So Cal, we knew they would be a great partner for us. They focus on the craft niche and really had an interest in our lineup and our growth plan. It’s an exciting venture for us both.”

Incorporated May 2011, Strike’s first beer styles were released in December 2011. Strike Brewing Company changes the image of the typical craft beer drinker by becoming THE brand synonymous with an active, adventurous lifestyle.  Founded by three former athletes, Strike’s beers cater to athletes and outdoor enthusiasts who want to celebrate their thirst for the active lifestyle. Strike’s Session Series, which includes the Brown and Blonde ales, and its partnerships with a variety of groups lend well to this crowd. The Gladiator Rock n’ Run, Kiss Me Dirty Race Series, Threshold Racing, Cycle Fanatics and Finish Line Productions are just a few from Northern California that Strike currently works with. As Strike expands its’ Southern California market presence, they plan on supporting similar events and activities.
