Downtown San Jose Brews + Bites Tasting Event
The upcoming ‘Brews + Bites‘ tasting event in downtown San Jose takes place on Saturday, Sep. 14 from 2-6pm.
Presented by the San Jose Downtown Association (SJDA), it’s a chance to enjoy local beer and food all in one spot under the palm trees at the Circle of Palms Plaza, 127 South Market St.
According to previous SJDA newsletters, Brews + Bites aims to highlight downtown San Jose as the urban center of the South Bay by pointing to the emergence of locally crafted beer and the diverse food options.
Just recently announced is the list of the local breweries, restaurants and businesses set to participate in this unique event.

Tickets
Brews + Bites tickets are sold in sets of five tasting tickets; you can choose your own beer and/or food combinations.
- VIP Experience ($50) – Exclusive early admission (1pm) plus 5 beer tastings + 5 food tastings
- Brews+Bites Pairing ($35-40) – General admission (2pm), 5 beer tastings + 5 food tastings
- Brews Only Pass ($25) – 5 beer tastings
- Bites Experience ($20) – 5 food tastings for all ages
- Additional Tastes (While Supplies Last) – Beer: 1 for $5 or 5 for $20; Bites: 3 for $10
Wine, cider and non-alcohol beverages will be available for tasting as well, and there’ll be local music featured throughout the event.
The Brews + Bites event is part of ‘The Local Way to Downtown San Jose‘ week (Sep. 9-15) launched by Yelp South Bay and the SJDA, with proceeds benefiting the SJDA and its mission to continue making downtown San Jose better.
