Barebottle Brewing Company Announces New Taproom Opening in Santa Clara Square Marketplace

I first heard about San Francisco’s well-regarded Barebottle Brewing Company opening a Santa Clara location sometime this year from a quick Silicon Valley Voice news item back in late March.

Then in early July, the Santa Clara Square Facebook page posted a brief ‘New Restaurant Alert’ indicating that Barebottle Brewing was opening their first ever satellite taproom at Santa Clara Square Marketplace.

Now earlier today, there was an update directly from the source, as Barebottle Brewing Company shared via social media that they are excited to announce a new taproom opening in Santa Clara (at 2520 Augustine Drive, Santa Clara Square Marketplace, to be exact) in late January 2020.

They also included a ZipRecruiter link for those interested in applying for bartender positions.

More info., in part, about Barebottle Brewing Company from the link:

We’re one of the best and fastest growing breweries in the Bay Area with two new locations slated to open in 2020. Barebottle is not only a great brewery, but also we dabble in high-end coffee, viticulture, and the company was founded by three Cornell MBA grads who know what we’re talking about when it comes to business (usually!).

And from their website:

Over many years of entering and judging beer competitions, we noticed a simple, but largely unrecognized insight: some of the best, most innovative beers in America are being brewed by homebrewers. In almost every competition we judged, the award-winning homebrewed beers were more inventive and daring than the majority of commercially available beers on the market. That insight, along with an enduring passion for the craft of beer making, led us to create Barebottle, a San Francisco crowd-inspired craft brewery.

Barebottle Brewing Company was co-founded by Lester Koga, Michael Seitz, and Ben Sterling, three friends and former classmates at Cornell Business School in Ithaca, NY. After moving from Ithaca to the Bay Area in 2007, the three began homebrewing, became certified beer judges, and began winning medals at homebrewing competitions. Barebottle brews innovative beers inspired by the San Francisco Bay Area using local ingredients wherever possible, and partners with local homebrewing groups to develop new beers using a competitive method.

Barebottle opened in 2016; the brewery and taproom is located at 1525 Cortland Ave San Francisco, CA 94110.

Count me among the many South Bay fans of the brewery looking forward to their Santa Clara opening.

No doubt that Barebottle Brewing Company will be a boon to the local beer scene and a welcome addition to the South Bay beer community.

Cheers! Prost! Gunbae!
