SF Beer Week 2020: Save the Dates, Plus Opening Gala Tickets on Sale

It’s likely the best Beer Week around, and it’s coming up sooner than later.

The 12th annual SF Beer Week takes place, per the usual, over ten days. Presented by the Bay Area Brewers Guild, this year it’s from Friday, February 7 through Sunday, February 16.

The first initial postings of beer events are up on the SF Beer Week website, including Taplands’ 4th Annual Wake & Break(fast) event set for Saturday, Feb. 8 at 9am. The event features donut breakfast sandwiches and a tap list of breakfast-inspired beers.

Many more events will be posted in the coming weeks, and I know I’ll be checking their site too often to start figuring out my schedule for Beer Week.

SF Beer Week Opening Gala

Kicking off the festivities is the highly regarded SF Beer Week Opening Gala. It’ll take place Friday, Feb. 7 from 6pm – 10pm at Pier 35 on San Francisco’s waterfont (1454 The Embarcadero).

Tickets, including the early bird VIP option, recently went on sale and are available for purchase through the SF Beer Week site or the direct Eventbrite ticket link.

About 125 breweries from throughout Northern California will be pouring their best offerings at the Opening Gala, including the newest releases, rare beers, one-off experiments and old favorites.

Following the Opening Gala, SF Beer Week events will spread throughout the region, including San Francisco, Silicon Valley, North Bay, Coast and East Bay.

And as in years past, look for more South Bay-oriented posts regarding SF Beer Week in the coming weeks.
