Scenes from SF Beer Week 2020 Preview Event Featuring Silicon Valley, San Francisco and Coast Breweries

Andrea and I had the good fortune of attending a second SF Beer Week preview event, this time featuring a number of San Francisco, Coast and Silicon Valley breweries.

We arrived a bit early, which gave us enough time to check out nearby Cityscape Bar & Lounge, the tallest skybar in San Francisco, offering 360° views.

The views were stunning.

The preview took place at Urban Tavern.

I started with Fog Roller Double IPA, poured by Aaron Hottenstein, assistant director of food and beverage for Hilton San Francisco Union Square.

The beer, very aptly named, was a project spearheaded by Aaron and is brewed by Gilman Brewing Co. specifically for Cityscape.

One dollar of every pint of the entire batch of Sheltering Dingoes sold at the brewery will go to WIRES, Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organization.

I asked Lester about the Barebottle Santa Clara location. He said he was just there earlier in the day installing the taps. He also shared that training would start soon and that their opening is imminent, within a week or two. He is confident of an opening in time for SF Beer Week.
