5th Annual Cider Summit SF 2018

Cider Summit SF announced earlier this month that the event will be returning to the Presidio for its fifth annual event:

  • When: Saturday, April 14, 1-4pm
  • Where: Civil War Parade Ground in the Presidio, SF

Cider Summit SF is the area’s largest hard cider festival and will showcase nearly 200 ciders from California and other states, as well as ciders from over five different countries. Many of the cidermakers themselves will be on hand to guide attendees through the tastings.

In addition to well-known favorites, Cider Summit SF will feature new releases and a variety of cider cocktails prepared by selected cideries, along with apple spirits.

New this Year

Cider Summit has been collaborating with Tieton Cider Works on a special release cider to celebrate Tieton Cider Works’ 10-year anniversary. They are bringing a special Oak Barrel Aged Cider to all of the Cider Summit events this year, including to San Francisco. Made with a select blend of cider apples from Tieton’s orchards, the cider displays notes of nutmeg, orange peel, allspice and cloves.

Also new this year, Oregon Fruit Products (OFP) and Enartis have created the Fruit & Oak Cider Challenge. Participating cideries will craft a special cider using OFP fruit puree and Enartis oak, and attendees will be able to vote by text at the event to select the champion.
