Scenes from Gentry Bar, Now Open at Main Street Cupertino Plaza

Gentry Bar is officially open for business at Main Street Cupertino, inside the Marriott Residence Inn at 19429 Stevens Creek Blvd.

It’s the newest concept by the folks behind the Steins Beer Garden & Restaurants in Mountain View and Cupertino.

Gentry and Steins Cupertino are both located near one another, as Steins opened last year joining the bevy of shops and restaurants at Main Street Plaza.

From its website:

“At Gentry, we offer a unique blend of modern and classical hand-crafted cocktails, an extensive spirit and wine list, and an exceptional selection of local wines and craft beer. Executive Chef Colby M. Reade pays homage to his favorite timeless techniques featuring global flavors, designed in small plate fashion in our 100% made-from-scratch kitchen.”

Andrea and I checked out Gentry the day before their official grand opening on June 1.

Always a pleasure catching up with owner Ted Kim…

and Executive Chef Colby Reade.

House-Made Pickles – Assortment of lemon dills, sugar beets, jalapenos and a secret seasonal selection.

General manager Ryan Hummel.

What a great, bright space. With delicious, sophisticated cocktails. A heady list of beer and wine. And tasty, elevated small-plate offerings.

Gentry’s hours of operation:

  • Sunday – Thursday: 3pm – 11pm
  • Friday & Saturday: 3pm – Midnight

To say we greatly enjoyed our visit is an understatement. And as Gentry is within walking distance, there’s really no excuse for not returning sooner than later.

Cheers! Prost! Gunbae!
