Sushi and Beer Pairing at Santa Clara Valley Brewing

Santa Clara Valley Brewing (101 E. Alma Ave., San Jose) is set to host a special sushi-and-beer pairing event on Sat., Aug. 4 from 7pm to 9pm.

SCV Brewing has partnered with Trifecta Cooks and will offer a six-course sushi tasting menu:

Tuna Tartare
– jidori egg yolk/pickled daikon/salmon roe/nori chips/micro shiso

Kani Salad
– snow crab meat/seasonal veggies/fermented green tea aioli

Nigiri Set
– chefs choice market fish/umami soy/half moon bay wasabi

Ocean Trout Carapaccio
– cured ocean trout/chive oil/ginger-garlic paste/crispy leeks

Furikake Ribs
– kakuni glaze/house furikake mix/shio konbu/scallions

Coconut Mochi Cake
– black sesame ice cream/miso caramel

The cost of the dinner ranges from $68.75 to $75.00 depending on the number of tickets purchased.
